If you run a boutique, resort shop, or swim store, trade shows are where you discover new resort and swimwear lines, compare collections, and write orders for the season ahead. This guide covers the major resort and swimwear wholesale trade shows in the US, when they happen, what each is best for, and how to get on the buyer list — plus how to source direct when you can't make the show.
The resort & swim buying calendar at a glance
Most resort and swimwear shows cluster around two buying windows: a winter/early-spring round (January–February) where buyers place orders for the upcoming spring and summer floor, and a summer round (May–August) where the following year's spring/resort collections are shown. Dates and venues shift each year, so always confirm on the official show site before booking travel.
Miami Swim Week
Held in late May (May 27–31 in 2026, around South Beach), Miami Swim Week pairs runway shows with B2B trade exhibitions that connect swim and resort designers with US and international buyers. It's the anchor event for swim and a strong place to spot emerging resort brands.
SwimShow (Miami Beach)
SwimShow returns to the Miami Beach Convention Center in May, with hundreds of exhibitors presenting the following year's spring and resort collections (the 2026 edition previews 2027). It's one of the largest dedicated swim and resort wholesale trade shows in the world, now also featuring a Curve intimates capsule.
Cabana & the wider Miami swim market
Miami's swim market includes additional resort-focused exhibitions during the same window. Together they make late May / summer in Miami the single biggest concentration of swim and resort buying in the Americas.
MAGIC Las Vegas
MAGIC runs twice a year (February and August) at the Las Vegas Convention Center and is one of the largest general apparel and accessories trade shows in the US. Its women's and resort sections are a practical, high-volume place for boutiques to source resort wear, cover-ups, and dresses alongside the rest of their floor.
Coterie New York & Destination Miami
Coterie New York (February and September, Javits Center) focuses on elevated contemporary women's apparel, including resort and vacation collections. Coterie also runs Destination Miami in July (Faena Bazaar) — a resort-focused edition timed to the Miami swim market.
Curve New York
Curve is North America's leading trade platform for intimate apparel and swimwear, useful for swim-focused and lingerie-adjacent boutiques.
Regional markets
Beyond the marquee shows, regional marts — such as the Dallas Market Center apparel markets and resort/gift shows that serve Caribbean and coastal retailers — run throughout the year and are convenient for restocking closer to home.
How to attend as a buyer
Trade shows are B2B-only. To register as a buyer you'll typically need to show that you operate a retail business — a business name, a resale certificate or sales tax ID, and sometimes a business website or prior wholesale invoices. Register in advance for free buyer credentials, book appointments with brands you want to see, and bring your open-to-buy budget and store details.
